The Dining Room

Catering and Menus:

Our resident chef has worked at Pinehurst for over 11 years.  We offer wholesome and nutritious meals with an emphasis on traditional English cooking, but our chef also has diplomas in international cuisine.

All our food is prepared and cooked on the premises.  We receive regular deliveries of fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, allowing us to provide a varied and well balanced menu. 

Special diets and individual preferences are catered for, and residents are encouraged to be involved with the planning of menus.

Our kitchen is open 24 hours a day for snacks and drinks.

Breakfast includes everything that would be expected of an English breakfast, and is served at a time to suit the residents life style.

Lunch (the main meal of the day), will include such favourites as a Traditional Roast, Shepherds Pie, Fish and Chips, Grilled Salmon, Lasagne, Steak and Kidney pie etc. Followed by Deserts such as Cheese Cake, Fruit Salad, Apple & Custard, Ice Cream, Crème Caramel etc. This is rounded of with cheese and crackers. A choice of Tea, Coffee, Juice and a glass of wine accompanies the meal.

A light supper of Sandwiches, Cauliflower Cheese, Jacket Potato, Omelette, Soup or Salad etc, is served in the early evening.

Main meals are served in the dining room, but residents may choose to eat in their rooms, or the lounge if they so wish.

Visitors are welcome to join the residents for lunch and/or supper, with tea and coffee always available.
